Faster Event Checkout, Smarter Volunteer Tools, and Microsoft SSO

Our latest updates make it easier than ever to manage events, volunteers, and user access. From collecting post-event payments to automatically tracking volunteer hours, these enhancements are designed to save you time.
Track Volunteer Shifts in Real Time
Say goodbye to paper sign-ins and guesswork. You can now scan a volunteer’s QR code right from the Volunteer Listing screen to instantly access their registration. New Start Shift and End Shift buttons automatically record hours, while a new Shift Started filter shows who’s currently checked in. The result: faster, more accurate volunteer tracking and a better experience for both staff and volunteers.
Capture Every Guest at Registration
Every attendee counts. and now you can capture them all from the start.
Event registrants can add guests directly during ticket purchase, and each guest automatically maps to your CRM for accurate tracking. With this enhancement, you’ll have complete attendee data to support personalized follow-up and stewardship after every event.
If registrants prefer to provide guest information later, they can easily do so through the Constituent Portal. Offering flexibility in how and when guest details are collected helps ensure higher capture rates and a smoother experience for everyone involved.

Streamlined Event Purchases and Checkout
Wrap up your events without the spreadsheet scramble. During check-in, you can now collect and store a registrant’s preferred payment method. When the event ends, simply check out attendees charging their card on file and adding any final purchases like merchandise, drink tickets, or auction items. This new workflow streamlines post-event payment collection, ensuring a quick and seamless closeout.

Single Sign-On (SSO) with Microsoft
We are excited to announce that organizations using Microsoft Azure Active Directory can now enable Single Sign-On (SSO) to allow users to log in to CharityEngine using their existing Microsoft credentials. SSO enhances security, minimizes password fatigue, and simplifies user management for administrators.
