This month’s updates tackle two common pain points head-on: tracking event sponsors and keeping donor data clean.
If you’ve ever wrestled with spreadsheets to manage sponsor commitments or struggled to prep your database for a big campaign, you’ll want to check out what’s new.
We’ve made it easier to track sponsor pledges and matching gifts right inside the Events module. We’re rolling out powerful, in-app data enrichment tools, so you can clean and enhance your donor file without ever leaving CharityEngine.
Track and Manage Event Sponsors
Many nonprofit organizations rely on event sponsors to support fundraising events or help boost donations. But too often, those sponsorships are tracked manually, spread across spreadsheets, or buried in emails, making it hard to stay organized.Some sponsors commit to a flat donation. Others pledge to match the funds raised by attendees, often up to a set amount. Both types of sponsorships can now be tracked and managed directly within CharityEngine’s Events module.
Event managers can now:
- Track multiple sponsors for each event
- Record both the sponsor pledged and matching gift amounts
- Automatically generate invoices for matched gifts based on attendee donations
A new sponsor listing screen gives you a clear view of all current and past event sponsors, so you can easily reference past support and recruit sponsors for future events.

Highlight Matched Donations on Your Giving Pages
When the sponsorship matching feature is used in conjunction with the recent donations widget, matched gifts can be displayed live on your donation forms, encouraging more giving by showing donors that their contributions are being matched in real time.
New Data Enrichment Capabilities: NCOA and Beyond
Clean, accurate data is the foundation of every successful fundraising campaign, but keeping your database up to date can be a challenge. Whether you're preparing for a direct mail appeal or expanding into SMS outreach, having the correct information on your donors is critical.
That’s why we’re introducing new, built-in data enrichment capabilities that let you activate key services directly from CharityEngine — no file exports, uploads, or third-party tools required.
With this update, you’ll be able to:
- Run NCOA updates to ensure mail reaches the right households
- Append cell phone numbers for text outreach
- Suppress deceased records to avoid insensitive communications
- Add missing email addresses, validate existing ones, and deduplicate records
- And much more.
